Shank 2 coming to XBLA on 8 February
13:13, 20th Jan
Everyone's favourite cartoon hitman, Shank, makes his return to Xbox Live Arcade on 8 February when Electronic Arts releases the unsurprisingly-named Shank 2. If you've played the original, you'll know what to expect – guns, chainsaws, grenades and buckets of blood – but if you haven't... well, you might want to brush up on your combat skills before the sequel arrives.
Tequila Works unveils Deadlight for XBLA
11:28, 20th Jan
Indie developer Tequila Works – a studio featuring creative talent from games such as Heavy Rain, Motorstorm, Diablo III and Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow – has announced Deadlight, a decidedly dark and atmospheric action-puzzler for Xbox Live Arcade. Screens follow after the click, but believe us when we say we're already incredibly excited about this one. UPDATE: Now with an announcement trailer!
Prepare to Quarrel on XBLA next week
11:10, 17th Jan
Denki's on-off romance with Xbox Live Arcade looks to be back on again, as it's confirmed that Quarrel - a super-fast word game of anagrams and comedy warfare - is ready to land on XBLA next Wednesday. And better yet, it'll be available for the bargain price of just 400 Microsoft Points which, as far as we're concerned, is AMAZING (13 points).
Ryder White returns to Dead Island
10:02, 17th Jan
Deep Silver has announced that there's fresh DLC coming on 1 February for its gruesome zombie RPG, Dead Island. Granted, that's hardly news considering that we already knew that a few weeks back, but now we have more details of its name, a price and, most importantly, the content of the DLC.
Silent Hill: Downpour release confirmed
09:42, 16th Jan
Looks like Konami has its fingers firmly plunged into the horror pie throughout early 2012 – not only is Neverdead due for release in February, but now the announcement of Silent Hill: Downpour’s release date (along with some very foggy screenshots) sees it turn up to scare the pants off you in March. In the US, at least, although we expect a European release to not be far behind.
Screens - New NeverDead images dug up
11:19, 13th Jan
Yes, Neverdead – Konami's comedy horror title – is still very much being alive and kicking, as this fresh batch of screenshots proves. And despite being centred around a cursed zombie man who can remove his limbs at will, we have to say it's not looking mangy in the slightest...
New Game Of Thrones screens look Skyrim-y
11:19, 11th Jan
Developer Cyanide has released a new batch of screens for its upcoming Game Of Thrones game, all of which look decidedly pretty and a bit familiar. Not that we're saying that all fantasy RPGs now have to be judged by the standard set by Skyrim, of course, but... well, yeah, we kind of are.
First Saint's Row: The Third mission DLC announced, suitably crazy in nature
16:01, 10th Jan
After weeks of releasing various weapon, outfits and vehicle DLC packs, THQ has finally confirmed the first mission-based DLC for Saint's Row: The Third. Arriving under the title of 'Genki Bowl VII', the pack offers a slew of missions set inside the most popular gameshow around... oh, and you're the star. Lights, camera, carnage!

10:30, 10th Jan
Those of you already looking beyond this week's release of Choplifter HD and AMY on Xbox Live Arcade might want to check out the screens and video after the link, as it shows off Scarygirl - next week's XBLA game from Square-Enix and Tiki Games. Considering it's a game about monsters, ghosts and ghouls, we never expected it to look quite so... well, cute.
Screens - South Park: The Game looks unsurprisingly like an episode of South Park
09:52, 9th Jan
Remember that new South Park game we told you about a while back? The one that was being made by THQ in conjunction with Trey Parker and Matt Stone? Well, THQ have finally shown off some screenshots of what it'll look like and... well, see for yourself. If that's not the closest you'll ever get to an interactive episode of the show, we don't know what is.

12:46, 20th Dec 2011
Square-Enix's upcoming Final Fantasy sequel adds another string to its bow, as the ability to capture monsters and add them to your own party's ranks is revealed in the latest trailer (which we've got conveniently available after the click). Plus, new screenshots!
Screens – THQ publishing Nexuiz on XBLA
10:26, 14th Dec 2011
With game remakes currently all the rage, THQ has thrown its hat into the digital ring by announcing its plans to publish a re-imagining of Nexuiz - an arena-based FPS originally released in 2001 - on Xbox Live Arcade. That's definitely not a bad thing once you know where it first spawned from...

Joe Danger arriving on XBLA tomorrow
11:32, 13th Dec 2011
If your answer to 'What are the boys on 360-Gamer.com doing right now?' is 'Writing up a review of Joe Danger: Special Edition'… well, you're right. That and searching the office for chocolate biscuits, anyway. But seeing as we can't share our thoughts on Hello Games's first XBLA game until tomorrow though, we thought we'd show you just what to expect when it arrives.
Screens/Video – Final Fantasy XIII-2
10:58, 13th Dec 2011
Did you know that Final Fantasy XIII-2 is already out in Japan? Well, it is and Square-Enix is more than a little delighted at how it's been received - so much so, in fact, that it's pushed out a small selection of new screenshots and even a trailer to celebrate. Obviously, we'd have preferred a more traditional cake/presents combo, but that's just us.

15:18, 6th Dec 2011
The game of Game Of Thrones (of thrones) has finally landed itself a UK publisher, with Focus Home Interactive set to bring the epic tale of sword, betrayal and midgets to the Xbox 360 early next year. Will it have anywhere near as much nudity as the TV show did? Probably not… although we don't mind. Really, we don't.
Catherine's special edition is… er, special
10:42, 6th Dec 2011
If the slightly twisted storyline, adult themes and downright fiendish puzzle gameplay weren't enough to make you want Catherine more than anything, then maybe the recently-confirmed special edition will help make your mind up. Because, as we all know, games that come with free stuff are better than those that don't… even though it's not technically free. Bah.

EA's reboot of its FIFA Street franchise is gaining momentum in the run-up to its release next Spring, thanks to Barcelona's star striker Lionel Messi becoming the game's new cover star. Check out these screens of him doing things with a football that you'll never believe… presuming you can't picture him kicking one about, that is.
