I like Bankshot. Last time I checked I was 4th on the Time Trial leaderboards. Although I have to keep resubmitting my time since they seem to clear the data regularly for some reason.
Live Arcade recommendations:
Trials HD: Most addictive game EVER
Limbo: Good solid platformer/puzzler if not to short
Metal Slug XX: Not as good as 3, but still good
Street fighter 3: Just cus I love SF
Like most others I'd also recommend: Peggle, Worms, Daytona,
Also got to love streets of rage 2

And no Lara Croft ?
Cyber you need to check it out man !!!
Just mentioning Lara Croft - GoL is actually half price in a sale at the moment. I just bought it so if anyone wants to play add my gamertag and send me an invite when you fancy. Hopefully I can find my microphone!
So many XBLA games played... which would I recommend?
Going down my list I'd say:
BASTION
I've shared my thoughts on this. A true classic that deserves it's accolades and although starts slow, is thoroughly absorbing a couple of hours in.
BATTLEFIELD 1943
Battlefield Lite, but no less compelling. A brilliant multiplayer only game that is still busy today, so worth buying still. It comes up as a DotW quite often too.
BEYOND GOOD & EVIL HD
A genuine classic that has issues, but is still a wonderful story to play through.
DEATHSPANK
One of my favourite RPGs on the service. Presented as a rolling stage with 2D scenery it is full of humour and brilliant characters. I love it and it's sequels.
GEOMETRY WARS 2
Twin stick shooter that is horribly addictive. Pacifism mode alone can keep me going for hours.
PINBALL FX 2
If you love pinball, this is a great digital version of the game with many tables.
SHADOW COMPLEX
An old-school 'Metroidvania' game that hooks you from start to finish.
There are other games that I love such as Gotham City Impostors, Torchlight, Game Room, Trouble Witches Neo, Hydro Thunder, Greed Corp, Defense Grid among others, but I recognise them as either having faults and/or are a little niche.
Trials HD, Geometry Wars 2 and Shadow Complex as a few have mentioned.
I'd throw Splosion Man into the mix too. Some good humoured explosive platformy puzzle type affair.
I've still got Beyond Good and Evil to play through too, bought it on a deal and still haven't started it.

I'll keep that in mind Dredd, it never really appealed to me so I may have to download the demo
Oh yeah another one:
Super puzzle fighter 2 HD Turbo Remix
Another great conversion on a classic, but to find any on-line matches now is near impossible, which doesn't matter unless you want the full 200g
You didn't even mention Outland sample, did you not like it ?
And keep in mind that there are levels of upgraded weapons and different artefacts which imbue you with differing powers etc in Lara Croft, Cyber, and as far as I (very poorly) remember, the trial didn't really put that across in the gameplay.
Giggs, I'm adding you for some hopeful GoL co-op, I take it your tag is the same as your name here ? Might want to get a signature like the rest of us to avoid confusion.

I didn't buy it in the end. I decided that I had too much to play at the time so left it till a future DotW.
Ah, I thought you got it. My recommendation counts for shit then, fair enough.
I'll enjoy ripping out future reader reviews by you and wiping my fat arse on them.
