Before I get into the race itself Voodoo have you been teaching Hamilton how to race?Big Grin

That has got to be the most enjoyable race at Monaco I have ever seen and congratulations to Vettel and Redbull for the fantastic strategy, I don't know what was going on with mechanics today but there was some pretty terrible pit stops going on.

I have to say though it was a shame about that red flag with 6 laps to go as that could of been one of the best finishes to race for a long time.
I'm not a huge fan of Monaco, but yes this was quite interesting.

Gutted for Button though as this could have been his race. It should have been his race.

Hamilton had a sloppy one (oo-er), and there was an interesting interview on F1 Forum (red button) after the race where he had a massive rant with a number of soundbites that the tabloids will be falling over themselves tomorrow.

You can watch it here:

I can understand his frustration in many ways. He's trying to race, to overtake and every time it doesn't go smoothly he gets his bollocks kicked. I don't think it's exclusive to Hamilton though, so he may regret the "Maybe it's because I'm black" remark.
Really gutted for Button. Had that first safety car not happened, he'd have walked it.

I reckon the FIA should change those regs about mechanics being able to fix cars on the grid, and change their tires, during red flag sessions, too, as that robbed us of a mega final seven laps.
I know. I was having to entertain The Boy past the agreed time I said we'd play games thanks to that red flag, and I missed them saying they could change tires.

It wasn't until a few laps after the restart that I realised it was never going to end any other way. Those last 7 laps woukd have been incredible if they had to finish on those tires.

Really nit surprised with the Hamilton crap, he tends to overdrive which he had got on top of the last year or two, but he just went too far today, trying to make ridiculous moves stick and expecting other drivers to get out if the way.

I know most of you give me shit for supporting Alonso, but really, when you think about it, when have you ever seen him act like Hamilton did today after a poor result. It's a fair measure of a man as to how they can take a bad result, and Hamilton showed his true colours yet again.

Credit where it's due, he thanks the team like a good robot should when the good results pile in, but by Christ he doesn't half stick it to them and everyone else when he has a poor show.

It's a real pity he'll probably win at Canada.

I couldn't agree more Dredd and you only have to look at Monaco last season where Alonso started in last place and came through the field with out touching another car let alone just ramming them off the track. I think the one that got me was when he launched his car at Massa and came on the radio and said that Massa had turned in on him on purpose, Where did he expext Massa to go in the middle of a hairpin.
I know.

Looking at that crash, you could clearly see Hamilton could turn tighter, even though Martin Brundle was saying that was full lock on there and there wasn't much he could do - MY ARSE !!!

There were tighter turning circles from everyone else on track at that point, Hamilton tried to push Massa out to the wall to get track position, and good on Massa for not relenting, even though it cos him his race.
he would have been on full lock when he entered the corner, though. Especially at the angle he was aiming for.

Which just makes the decission to try and overtake there all the more stupid.
