The internal clock isn't used enough in games anymore I think. The Dreamcast used to do something with it all the time!
Saturn used it quite well with Nights/ Christmas Nights.
And others, although memory fades.

Ahhh, I miss Nights. It makes me all warm and fuzzy every time I remember it.
Now that should have an XBLA release. I'd snap that up like a shot.
