Below is the account he will be using with 4000 points.

RE: Giving away 4000 Microsoft Points
I bet if DaviDas said, "sorry, picked wrong number" and ended up picking yours retro, all this anger would all go away.....

Got the PM and I'm currently weighing it all up, as it has to be a scam, I just can't work it out yet. I will of course, let you all know regardless.

I'd be careful with the rules regarding selling and transferring XBL accounts if I were you.

RE: Giving away 4000 Microsoft Points
I think that first part doesn't apply Joe, as that is in place more for a situation where if you let your cousin play on your profile, and he does something that gets you a LIVE suspension, you can't then go and say, "but it wasn't me", as the responsibility for correct usage of your account rests solely with you.

It's the second part that I reckon this whole thing infringes upon.

And I haven't tried it yet, but I think I've came to the conclusion that it's bullshit. Let me explain.

I switched to the wife's profile on my xbox (yes, she has one - last game played : Tomb Raider, 2 years ago) and although all the arcade game I bought through my account are there for her to play, they are only as trials.

Now, that'll be the exact same situation here. If I go and buy an arcade game with the new gamertag DaviDas offers, I can't then go and play it on my own profile, as it isn't tied to it. Similarly, DLC must work in the same way.

Yes, it's probably a genuine account filled with 4000 points, yes it'll work, but you'll only get the benefit of anything bought with those 4000 points if you play through that profile.

As I say, still haven't done anything to check if that is the case, but that's how I think it'll work.

You can play games you download from another account. I set up an account for my sister because she loved 'Splosion Man. I obviously had the game on my account and she played the game through her account.

This is it exactly. You want credibility? Try and get the 'ringleader' to sing your praises. If Dredd says he's alright then we all fall in line, right?
Wrong!

Incidently, at the risk of sounding like I'm validating the scam, the points you have on a second account CAN be used on another on the same console.

All three of my daughters have an account, as does The Mirror, and they can all access Arcade games, DLC and everything else on the console. Not sure why you can't Dredd.
