NBA Street Homecourt

NBA Street Homecourt
The NBA street games have always taken a laxed view on the laws of physics and especially gravity.
Throughout the course of one 3-on-3 game you can expect leaps, dunks, blocks and tricks that Neo AKA Mr.Anderson himself would be proud of.
The key difference between this NBA Street title and any other is defenately the next gen graphics, the core gameplay is intact, as is the over the top showmanship. But I can't hlep but feel underwhelmed by the experience. For starters there is a distinct lack of Street Legends, and the number of courts although not particularly small, could have been boosted by providing the courts of old titles. Although there are a few courts and Legends available to download from the Xbox Live Marketplace, the 800MP tag is too high for something that most would expect to be with the game.
There are a few modes missing from this edition, such as the Create a sneaker option, create a team option, and the supremely entertaining Dunk contest. If this were implemented online I'm 100% certain it would be a sucess.
As it stands though the gameplay is at it's best sublime, and the warm feeling inside of performing a double dunk for the first time against your best mate (or random stranger) online is one to be savoured.
Overall 6/10
This game could have been an 8 if it had included many of the standard old games modes, legends and old courts. But although entertaining is not going to last more than a few weeks.

Re: NBA Street Homecourt
Yeah, I thought it was good and probably right on the money (although I've not played it myself) - the last NBA game I played was Street on ps2 and I liked it but it does get old and I guess this is the same? Maybe I'll get it cheap oneday but I'm not rushing when I see reviews like yours.

Re: NBA Street Homecourt
Good review. I've played it for a while in a shop......its good, but not as good as it could be. I'll stick to NBA2K7 for now, hopefully a sequel will be much improved.
