Xbox Live Arcade Recommended Games
Recently back on Live I've been having a look at whats available on Arcade.

I bought myself a 2100 points card and have so far purchased Streets Of Rage 2 (my 2nd favourite game ever) & Pac-Man C.E.

I've already got Geo Wars, Texas Hold Em', Wik, Bejeweled and Hardwood Backgammon from the XBLA Arcade Unplugged collection.

But what would others recommend I should purchase? I have another 800 points to spend so I'm trying to decide what to get next. What do you recommend?

There are so many, biggest bet is to download the free demos first.

Uno is great, My personal fave is mutant storm reloaded and its sequal.
Lumines is good but a tad expensive.

I always demo first before buying though , never trust others views - look at the score the mag gave SOR2.

Uno is a great multiplayer game on Live. Had many a good night with the mike and camera on and some of the sight you see!! Well what people get upto in their own homes is up to them.

Other favorites include Cloning Clyde, Assualt Heroes, Worms (a must have), and not forgetting the great old button basher Track and Field.

I might look like Robert Ford
But I feel just like a Jesse James.

Indeed I've been playing Streets Of Rage 2 every year since it came out on the Megadrive - it was regarded then (and is today) as a classic - easily one of MD's best.

As for Metal Slug 3 - I completly agree, but I already own it on 3 other formats so I'll pass on getting it again (have you seen the achievements? Good luck with them! Wink)

Rez is of course coming out next week I think so I can't wait for that (even though I own the original on DC).

Well Uno is great fun and a game you will always come back to. I am purchasing Bankshot Biliards, Grip Shift and SWOS this week hopefully.

I think my all time favourite has to be Small Arms

Has anyone picked up Rez or Pac-Man C.E.?

Rez when I got it on DC is one of my all-time favourite games, and the imrpovements made for the releas on XBLA really do enhance the experience, well worth picking it up if you've never played it before.

Found the new Pac-Man really addictive - got a high score of 239,000 on the C.E. mode Smile

Rez HD is indeed awesome (but way harder than the original if you notice...) and I too really enjoyed Pac-Man CE – a really nice original take on the simplest of concepts and works wonderfully for it.

Puzzle Quest is well worth a look if you're into your puzzle games (although in this case with a really strong RPG backbone). Came out on PSP and now Wii and DS as a normal-priced game so 800 MS points is a freaking bargain. Bomberman Live is more or less essential stuff too.

Aside from them you've got Wik, which is one of the few hidden gems that I love to recommend, but there are also the likes of Boom Boom Rocket and Omega Five that are at least worth checking out. Boogie Bunnies is my current guilty pleasure, although it gets hard pretty quickly...

I quite like to chill out to Pinball FX Smile EXIT is also quite fun if you like platform puzzlers.
