lol. got a wireless router nd we got tiscali brodaband but cant set it up; basically we cant use the lan cable cos our pc is really slow nd stuff (im using laptop here). We'll have to wait until our pc is suitably working or find a way to run the net without the lan cable.

Re: Msn
if you have a wireless router and tiscali, you have the same setup as me. Cant you just put the LAN cable from the 360 into the back of the router? My PC an my 360 are nowhere near each other. The PC is upstairs and wireless, the 360 is wired into the back of the router.

Re: Msn
I would, but there's a few things. One, we still need the internet wireless on the laptop without the yellow lan cable. Two, the 360 is upstairs in my room and the Router will be in the downstairs hall and we don't want the 360 wire going upstairs. I'll probably get the 360 wireless thingy when i get the net sorted, anyone who an help i'll appreciate it.

Basically, We have router downstairs, a wireless enabled laptop and the tiscali package etc. We don't want to use the yellow lan cable because that will have to go into the laptop and will therefore make it wireless. We just can't set it up, and we're paying for tiscali and have spent £14.99 already for the first month without using the net wireless.

I think your a bit confused Ash mate, plugging a cable into your laptop doesn't make it wireless, wireless is as it says no cables!! If you have wireless built into your laptop or a PCMCIA wireless card in it you rlaptop should auto pickup your wireless router.

If your broadband is LIVE the wireless router should be up and functioning so i can't see why you can't use it now? Get the 360 Wireless dongle and your away!

Re: Msn
ll i meant to type wired. I'm going to wait to get Live when we've got wireless net on the laptop, because that is proving harder than anticipated.

Re: Msn
yeh man you sound ready to rock!

If the router is wireless, why not put it nearer the Xbox???

Plug the 360 into the back of it and the 360 should set itself up, mine did!

I wouldnt bother with wireless adapter for 360, i was advised against this. Apparently wired 360 is 104mb, wireless is 54mb tops.

If i lived nearer to Yarmouth i'd come and try and help you out!
