Getting to know you....

RE: Getting to know you....
Name - Ace

Age - 20

Gaming since... - About 1999

Gaming heritage - I got into gaming a bit later than most gamers my age, the first console I had was a Playstation 1. I'd played a few other consoles before this but never owned one. After that ran it's course I moved onto a PS2, used to be a bit of Sony fan boy really. Alongside the consoles I used to be really into computer gaming, I played alot of FPS games online, playing in competitions and leagues which mostly had my interest. But a couple of years ago I moved out and no longer had a computer, and for a while I didn't game much at all. Until last year when I got my xbox 360. It was a narrow escape, I planned to buy a Wii right up until I changed my mind in the shop, mostly because I wanted to play Forza 2! And since then I've been getting back into games again.

Your favourite type of game - Sim racing

You will mostly find me playing - Forza 2 or when it comes out, Race Pro

I will hump the living shite out of you on - Call of Duty, any of them really, but only on the PC! Not so great with a controller.

You will beat me on - Any football game, or tennis, or most sports for that case!

As a gamer, I am - Not commited enough. I don't get much time to finish many these days.

RE: Getting to know you....
Name Anthony

Age - 34 think im the oldest...should act it really...

Gaming since... - I'd say around 1984.

Gaming heritage - First gaming experience was on the commodore64 and spectrum 48k,then onto megadrive and 3do and snes, dreamcast N64, GC ,Ps1/2/3 wii and 360.

Biggest regret : selling my snes collection for £100 to buy a PS1.

Your favourite type of game - Resident Evils.

You will mostly find me playing - Call of Duty 2,Rockband.

I will hump the living shite out of you on - Call of duty2.

You will beat me on - Gears of War.... I just cant do the chainsaw move, i cant get passed the lack of manoverability under all that armour, christ the bloke couldnt even jump down, he had to use the steps.

As a gamer, I am - Quiet and confident, i let the kids and yanks finish their "im gonna own you" speeches, anniahlate them in the game and quietly leave the lobby a 'la solid snake.

Least fave games - any sporting ones.

Fave console evaaar ! - probably the 3do or dreamcast - the hours i spent xmas time opening the lucky capsules in Shenmue is quite sad now thinking about it...

RE: Getting to know you....
Name: Dan

Age: 24

Gaming since: the early 90's

Gaming heritage: Started off with an Atari, then a Master System, Mega Drive, Snes, Dreamcast, N64, PS1/2, Xbox, Wii, Xbox 360. I also play alot of Football Manager on the PC.

Favourite type of game: A bit of everything really

Find me most likely playing: Gears 1 or 2, Fallout 3, Rockband.

I will Hump/Lump! the living Shit out of you on: Gears 1 or 2 - but i'll need the Boom or Hammer to do it!

You will beat me on: COD4/5, Forza - I can't be bothered to spend time perfecting my car setup!

As a gamer I’m: Name: Competitive but will not be upset to be beaten by someone better. I get wound by cheaters, especially on a Friday night after a few beers, but will usually just get on with it and have a laugh.

Thing I hate the most: The Yanks, especially the ones who can't pronounce my gamertag, i've lost count the amount of times somes idiot has called me Magic / Magpee - come on people, learn how to read! People that boosted the Gears 2 "Party like it's 1999" achievement - what's the point, if you like the game enough to care to get the achievement you'll end up playing ALOT more than 1999 rounds!

RE: Getting to know you....
Name: Greg

Age: 27

Gaming Since: Early 90's.

Gaming Heritage: I used to play Bomb Jack, Space Harrier (not where i got my name), Sensible Soccer and Actua Soccer 3 on my old Atari ST. Then I played SF2 A LOT on SNES and then got an N64 on launch day. I then eventually got an Xbox and then a 360 about 4 months after release. Oh and i still play a bit of Champ Man on the old PC.

Fav Type of Game: Anything that's well put together. I cant abide broken / lazy games. I like big epic adventures (Oblivion, Mass Effect, Fallout, Gears) as much as I do a quick game to spend a weekend on and then send back to LoveFilm (King Kong, Cars). Some folks would call me a scorewhore but i used top play weekend games on my SNES long before Gamerpoints: so why should i change my gaming just because it may not be socially accepted!

You will most likely find me playing: Gears 1 or Fallout. I've also got very into C&C:TW of late.

I will beat you on: Gears 1.

You will beat me on: Gears 2, any of the COD games, Forza and C&C! My C&C skills in the campaign are awesome and i'm currently going thru on Hard, but these skills really dont serve me well online!

As a gamer i'm: passionate! I love them! When they go well i'm happy and loud and say stupid things. When i feel hard done to i express it! I also love it when people online talk sh*t because i know my games and i know i'm ok at them so i tend to shoot people down in flames! This is even more enjoyable in a Gears lobby when there's nowhere to hide!

The thing i hate most are: people who judge you on your achievements. ie, people whgo assume they're better than you at Gears 2 because they did all the new achievements in local MP on casual the day they were released! And broken games... If anyone can say EXACTLY why i needed nearly 13,000 kills to get Seriously i'd love to hear it.

RE: Getting to know you....
Name - Paul
Age - 35
Gaming since - Mid 80's.

Gaming heritage - First gaming experience was on the Commodore 64, then the NES (loved mario at the time). Moved on to the Megadrive after with sonic, but more importantly Mortal Kombat (loved it). Then followed PS1 & 2, loved hogs of war on ps1, and red faction on the PS2. Then I went a bit shadey moving over to the PC, playing non stop counter strike source. To be honest I'd probably still be playing that, but my mate who had a 360 finally got the internet after years of me badgering him so in October 2007 I got a 360.

Your favourite type of game - FPS without a doubt.
You will mostly find me playing - CODWAW or COD4.

I will hump the living shite out of you on - Any COD

You will best me on - Anything other than COD, but especiallt Rockband 2 or racers.

As a gamer, I am - About having fun, not taking it too serious. That said on weekends with my beer head on, I can be abit OTT on taking the piss if I'm beating you. Give as you get, I don't get offended easily.

Ps - I work nights during the week, so you won't normally catch me then.
