Tropico 3
Tropico 3 is a strategy game where the player assumes the role of Island leader. After a short tutorial which is as useful as a chocolate teapot you are unleashed onto your own island. The choices are vast as you turn your paradise into one large war base or a paradise for your beloved people. The campaign spans 15 missions which can take three to seven hours each depending on how much you have learnt about the various buildings and business’s in the game. A regularly updated Xbox Live challenge game is available. There is nothing in the way of being able to play against other live users but Xbox Live challenges are set and updated for you to attempt to beat and be crowned the ultimate leader via the leader boards. There is a steep learning curve for Tropico as you attempt to balance your islands finances and still keep your people pleased. There are few strategy games on Xbox and even fewer that have micromanagement options like this one. Every detail from what your leaders looks right through to choosing which person you hire or fire for business. This game will provide patient strategy fans with hours of fun.
Verdict: Overall an excellent and deep game for strategy fans if a little repetitive but Tropico has more than enough to enjoy this hidden gem of a game! 8 Name: Jonathan Wilson Gamertag: Jonmau5 ![]() For all your latest multiplatform game news, reviews, previews and features: Check it out: http://www.theplayvault.com |

RE: Tropico 3
Just noticed this review of a game I really enjoyed.
The only big negative with this game is the lack of depth and how easy the game is but if your after a strategy-lite game then after Civ Rev this is the best on the Xbox. Which still leaves the point why was I playing this on the Xbox when so many better games of the like are on the PC.

RE: Tropico 3
Good point Ryan! tropico is okay but Civ Rev PC version is MUCH better! Civ Rev is not bad on xbox but on live it's crap, can't save online campaigns

RE: Tropico 3
has anyone noticed whats funny about the cover?
Tropico 3 gets my vote for most hilariously evil looking cover on a video game. http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/26/..._large.jpg Are you supposed to actually play as that murdering bas@@rd? I've been reading "How to sound like you read books" by Rudyard Azimov. |
