Loving the Kinect
Blissfully indifferent to it
As a gamer, it goes against the very fabric of my being

Kinect - yay or nay
This is possibly going in the mag, so keep your language clean...

Poll says it all, really: what do you think of Kinect?

Also, so we can flesh it out, feel free to add a comment about it as well, explaining how you voted and what you think of it.

Just no. I haven't bought a Wii for the "lack of good games" reason. Why would I want the same problem with my 360? I don't want to be waving my arms around to make my car turn when playing a driving game.

Anything that enhances the 360 is to be applauded, but as it stands at the moment it's not for me I'm affraid, it would take some kind of game to entice me.

Indifferent. The cost of Kinect will determine how successful it is I think. I certainly want the new 360, and if the Kinect bundle is reasonable value then I will definately pick one up.

I've looked at the E3 videos on XBL, and it just looks a bit....rubbish. A Wii with a decent graphics card.

Well it certainly appeals to the girlfriend - Kinect Sports etc. but it depends on price. Anything under £50 is an instant-buy. Between £50 and £80 will need to be thought about more so. Anything more pricey, well you might as well buy a Wii !!

Another friend (female) wants one - mainly because of Kinectimals being "sooooooo cute". If only there was a shotgun peripheral for that game... Smile

As for the core gamer in me, well I admit that the sports titles are fun for drunken group foolishness, but there was a distinct lack of games that interest me. Star Wars looked on rails and Forza looked a bit pants with your arms stuck out like that.

Metal Gear didn't impress me at all. Looks like random arm swinging to me!

RE: Kinect - yay or nay
I voted Yay...due to the fact that its nice to know there is still life in the 360 and there is more to come. I probably would have been annoyed if it was some cheap gimmick but they seem to be incorporating the idea in a lot of ways...Price is a biggie/battery life/extra Miccrosoft points for DLC for a natal game??
Seems the ps3 is also doing the same kind of stuff with the Eye pet and such, It is nice to get a broader range of games/gamers although im hoping the market doesnt get saturated with bile like "workout with MelB" or "Dance with Lady Gaga" etc.etc.

It's good to the casual gamers and young kids who don't mind looking like idiots when they play their games, but for hardcore gamers like many of us here, I'm pretty sure we'd rather sit down and enjoy games that way.

RE: Kinect - yay or nay
Kinect is not something that i will be looking to buy. The idea of having to swing your arms about to play the games doesn't appeal to me and is the exact reason why i never use the Nintendo Wii.
