Poll: Will you buy Kinect at launch?
YES - It's pricey, but I'm prepared to pay for the experience.
NO - Microsoft can stick their expensive camera where the sun don't shine!

Kinect - Will you buy it at launch?
Simple one this - now that Kinect is on it's way and at a hefty price of £130, will you be buying it?

For that price, you could get a load of decent games that you would actually play for more than a week. I'm not saying that Kinect will be like the Wii and have your attention for about a month, but the games that are coming out just don't look as though they would have the lasting appeal of a game such as Gears of War 2 or CoD. And the games are pretty much at full retail price.

If I was going to buy it, it would be around a price drop.

Agree - More interesting games and a lower price is the only way I'd buy it. So I won't be purchasing it at launch.

Not a chance that I will be buying Kinect, I wasn't overly keen on it anyway but the price they want for it is ridiculous.

I know Microsoft are saying that they expect the core gamers who already have 360's to be main people buying Kinect but if you look at the type of game's being announced they are all targeted at the casual and party gamers.

If they don't include the price of the balance board the wii is CONSIDERABLY cheaper. And where was the "Fuck right off" option on the poll?

LOL I didn't want to appear biased Smile

Also if MS wants to play games re the multiplayer kinect experience, why not work out the single player experience - when MS comes LAST in all cases!!

RE: Kinect - Will you buy it at launch?
Now that the pricing has been officially released, there is no way im going to pay £130 for an addon. Also heard this morning that we will be paying £40 for the games unlike the USA which is going to be $40, anyone confirm this?.
I'd really like to know what convinced the M$ marketing team sell it at this price?. I think that this is now destined to be M$ biggest failure. My son had initially asked for kinnect for christmas, but once i broke the news about the price, he asked if it was ok to have a wii, which is what i shall now get him.
Maybe M$ should have looked at the fan base before putting such a ridiculous price on an addon.

RE: Kinect - Will you buy it at launch?
Logan - yep, Kinect games are £39.99 which MS claim is £10-15 cheaper than regular xbox games. Which is true when you look at RRP. However regular xbox games now get huge discounts (especially online) whereas Kinect games at launch will not.

So a quick look around means you'll be paying £35 for Kinect Sports and £34 for Fable 3.

£130 for Kinect? F'kineck!
