Best transfers?
Who in your opinion got the best deal(s) so far. I know the final day will be the busiest but I just cant believe this:

http://www.football-italia.net/aug28x.html

He has been incredible at 2 teams in this league and will thrive at that club. Good work Galliani.

But in the Prem... Joe Cole, I'd be surprised if he'd be very successful, but Yaya Toure looks Essien-like so far...

I know this is all predictions and speculations at this point but what are your thoughts?

Also who d'you want to go or come to your clubs?...

RE: Best transfers?
Bit early to say but I was very glad when Arsenal didn't get Joe Cole but I was disappointed we didn't get Yoyo Toure we were linked to him a few years ago.

The best deal in the premiership so far apart from Man City has there been a good deal?.

As an Arsenal fan we need a new goalkeeper and Shay Given would do nicely.

RE: Best transfers?
Also being an Arsenal fan I think Chamakh was a good signing but we really missed out on Ozil.
But Joe Cole is a great snatch for Liverpool.

...and too think I welcomed you back. Wink

Agree though, Joe Cole is in my opinion a better signing than losing Mas*****o (dodgy Argentinian who I can't spell).

As for signings generally, it has been extremely quiet generally, though I was shocked that Raul left Madrid, thought he would be there for life.

Joe Cole will get you the forth goal when your beating Wigan 3-0 but would he get you the winner in the last minute against Blackburn away from home.

He might turn out to be great for Liverpool but in the end how many clubs actually wanted him and remember Chelsea let him go.

Good to see another Arsenal fan on here and I thought Ozil looked good but does 4 good games at the world cup make him good enougth and again how many clubs actually bidded for him as well I heard figures of £20-£25 million in the end it was £12.6 million.

Really don't see the fuss over Joe Cole. Ancelotti and Cappello could see he wasn't anything special so he sat on the bench. I think Mascherano will be a big loss to them in the long run though, a team like Liverpool should only let a player leave if they have a better one in that position coming in/through, and I can't see that as of yet.

Italy has been pretty busy with signings though Voo, with the ban on foreign players and all. Its back this wkend and I'll post up some developments for everyone Smile

I agree fil Mascherano will be missed as he is a good player but luckily he is a defensive midfielder and they are the easiest members of squad to replace, I mean Gerrard could drop back into that hole and he would be far more devastating going forward than Mascherano, But I guess only time will tell how much we suffer without him.

As much as I hate to say this Utd seem to have made the best transfer with Hernandez.

True but then who takes Gerrards role? who is without doubt your most important player and along with Torres is your only world class player he has to play where he can do the most damage.
