JakeSlashDekuBlog~
Not going into much detail, but the main jist is that like many others out there I want to write about games. I'm fifteen now, just taking my GCSE's and trying to make my ambition, a reality. So I started a blog on Tumblr.com. Just me rambling out random gaming things, and slowly improving my writing skills. But I really wanted some feed back, some constructive criticism. But Tumblr doesn't allow people to comment on posts, deeming a wet crusty sandwich more useful. So, from today I'll be posting my blog things on here, so you guys can comment if you see fit. Enjoy.

Halo Reach midnight release

Going to a midnight release is defiantly an odd experience, on the one hand you’re thinking ‘this is awesome’ and on the other ‘why am I standing here for an hour in the cold?’ But this was different. Because this was a Halo release, and all that’s inside your thoughts is ‘this is awesome’.

Now getting the game is one thing, but being there at midnight, surrounded by people that love gaming, all having a good chat about gaming, and all patiently waiting to get there sweaty paws on the game is a whole different story. The atmosphere is like no other, and until you have been to one, you have no idea what you’re missing!
Stepping into ‘GAME’ I was handed a tiny slip of paper that said I was number 26, right then you get an odd sense that you have been excepted into some sort of clan. Ten minutes went by and there were about 50 people all huddled around one Xbox trying to play Halo 3 to pass the time. After a quick chuckle at some of the not so well crafted games on the Wii (*cough* Barbie horse adventures) a nice bearded gentleman behind the counter shouted “Number one please!” Everyone watched in awe at ‘number one’ getting served, it was like watching someone get given a holy artefact.

After what seemed like forever, “Number 26!” I barged through the swarm around the desk, thinking a nice new swanky copy of Halo Reach was waiting for me to play! Although it was a little surprising to still be asked if I want to pre-order any games, or buy some own brand crap.

Walking out the door with Reach in my pocket I had the most gigantic grin on my face. It would have made a camel proud. Jake Evans

Your writing is coming along nice mate. Try and be careful about spelling, one thing I have learned from writing articles for my website is the importance of re-reading your work over and over again. Picked that invaluable tip up from the lads on here!

Your writing is interesting and does set the scene well. I don't understand the inclusion of the camel line but don't take anything I have said as personal. I'm just giving you some advice, writer to writer.

If you want to to write for an actual website, we have comments from users and members, a forum etc, you can write for my gaming website if you like. Will be better experience than tumblr. Check out my site and email me theplayvault@live.co.uk if your interested.

The site is http://www.theplayvault.com

I am hoping the small team of writers I put together can help each other out with their writing and we can all progress the site as well as our personal writing skill and style. Onwards and upwards Smile

Appreciate the advise mate, and the line about the camel is just some random goodness i like to put in when i'm writing. I find that it keeps people interested. Or so i think! But its just my own personal spin on writing about games.

But anyway, i've sent you an email, my address is JakeSlashDeku@gmail.com

Thanks for this opportunity Smile
