RE: Torchwood: Miracle Day
The beat episode of Season 1 Torchwood was the one that followed the "ghost" of the Torchwood fan as they investigated his death. I though that was one if the best bits of British telly I'd seen in a long time.

I can't remember the countrycide one, I'm sure I saw all of season one too

RE: Torchwood: Miracle Day
Okay Just finished watching the final episode on series one. Again Eve myles puts in some stunning (sometimes OTT) but still stunning performances on this episode. Its the one where they open the void or something and that clock fella stabs someone - trying not to spoiler thingy - erm probably my fave episode so far...one question though, at the end there is a tardis noise, im guessing there is some kind of jack and dr who crossover thingy...is there any need to watch this or not.?

Im not a massive dr who fanatical fanthing so im not bothered if its some random story that jack suddenly helps the doctor in so i would give it a swerve, if its a christmas special id give it a glance maybe.

I await your reply.

RE: Torchwood: Miracle Day
Yes, the end of series 1 coincides with the last three episodes of Doctor Who series three.
Those episodes begin with Jack running along Cardiff bay screaming "Doctooooooooor!" before grabbing onto the side of the Tardis and traveling through the time vortex on the outside!

Rather sloppy (but effective) edit of the two episodes:

The episodes aren't really that great for Jack particularly, but they do at least try to explain why The Doctor left him behind on the space station at the end of series one. Plus they kill him a lot.

The end of series three then leads into series two of Torchwood.

RE: Torchwood: Miracle Day
Hang on here, are we existing in some kind of parallel universe here, the Torchwood I watched, the one and only series I watched, ended with some 100 foot high demony thing walking over Cardiff and Jack (insert docnobabble) and nearly died saving everyone, even though he can't die but he nearly did.

What are you fuckos talking about ?

Also, read last night on t'internet about someone connected to the new Torchwood thing reassuring worried fans that Jack will be having lots of boy sex.

I'm out.

RE: Torchwood: Miracle Day
That was a John Barrowman quote. I think I read that myself last night.

The big giant monster that you're referring to WAS in the final episode of series one, you're right. The scenes at the end are what happens after all of that.

RE: Torchwood: Miracle Day
The gay thing is getting boring i agree, the first episode of series 2 im half way through, already there has been one long kiss, when jack came back from that demon thing at end of series1 he smacked a tongue in ianto to say hello -the same ianto that had a hidden cybergirl- the way gay/bi is portrayed is extremely cheap either ive led a very sheltered life or im doing the gay thing wrong myself... Only because if any gay/bi guy came up to me a planted a smacker on my lips i would think wtf?..

It adds nothing to the storyline, when the 2 of them got trapped in 1940 the whole episode was dogged with gay glances between jack and erm jack... I thought -oh ffs another face to suck coming up- seems jack is irresistable to both sexes and has no problem switching between the 2- in the real world you would lean to one sex more than the other- saying you are bisexual seems to be more acceptable than saying you are gay/lesbian...duncan from blue knows what i mean.

RE: Torchwood: Miracle Day
It's such a shame about the gay thing really, as there were some really good episodes of series 1, but in a few years time if you ask anyone if they watched Torchwood, I bet the over-riding thing they'll remember about it is how much it pushed the gay thing.

Do you remember V back in the 80's ? - Oh yeah, that was the lizard people and that sexy bitch wot ate the guinea pig.

Do you remember Torchwood back in the naughties ? Oh yeah, that was the gay show.
