Darksiders is indeed a great game Dredd.
Which Zelda game are you talking about that it beats? ![]() 'This is the fullest teaspoonful of cinnamon, I've ever seen.' |

RE: Why you should ingore the health guru.
All.
I know you and I have discussed this before, but the Zelda franchise for me has become very stale. For all the invention and excitement it used to give me, it still has the same sound effects, it still has the same actions, it still has the same "go into a room and like 4 torches by setting a deku stick on fire" puzzle. It just makes me feel like I'm playing the same game over and over and over. Cox came on here and decried the mag's review of an NBA game after it was awarded a 10 out of 10, like there are only a few games that deserve a 10, the Zelda franchise being one of them, but to me, they shoul dbe judged far more harshly to try and get nintendo to do something new. I can just see the R&D department in Kyoto going, well the next one, maybe we can have a guitar, then the one after it, a......harp maybe ? Zelda has become a derivative gaming experience, a parody of it's own self. Darksiders clones Zeldas template, but does more with it, and that's when it hits you that Nintendo should have stopped being so cocky and blasé about Zelda a long time ago and tried something new with it. Darksiders, for all it may be crass and overblown and probably too overtly manly with all the muscles and schlocky diologue, is a blast from start to finish, and that's something I've never been able to say about a Zelda game.
