She's a bit funny like that. Some things you just cannot convince her are good.
I tend to have to sneak an episode on when she least expects it and give her a taste. Then she'll sit with me next time I watch it. She loves her SciFi, she just never fancied Firefly before now. Maybe, as Swifty alluded to, clips make it look a bit weak. It's not until you fully engage in it that you get swept up.

I'm in a similar situation with my ladywife, got the three episodes of S2 Sherlock on the TiVo and I'm waiting for a good moment to get her into that, as I reckon she'll dig it - its just getting past the initial poo-pooiing of it all.
But hell, it worked on saturday for District 9. Hope exists.

sounds like i have a diffrent model to you lads....the other half will sit through say all of boardwalk empire..and at the end says..hmm..that was rubbish/crap.....or the ''classic is that it''......
firefly though at the end it was ''What no more''...''well do you have that film?''....''put it on then''....eh says i...its 1 effinf am.....''SO''.... *sigh* |
