That There Olympics

Between work and the Olympics I've done nowt else for the last two weeks. From the opening ceremony to the end it was awesome, a proper spectacle (apart from the closing ceremony which was a bit naff). I've never really been an athletics fan but that Sat night with Ennis and especially Mo's 10,000m (or the last 2 laps of it) were every bit as exciting as a decent footy match.

Bit gutted it's over to be honest, back to trying to avoid Corrie and Eastenders now

Can't wait for the Paralympics, it's gonna be amazing.

It's just a pity we don't see these kind of sports more often on telly. I'd love to watch that Mountain Bike thign I saw on Saturday again, that course looked amazing, but rock fucking hard.

Don't think I can get up for the paralympics in the same way as the real one. Maybe it's because I don't know any fucker competing or because it won't get the coverage at a time when I've just sat down after work or dinner.

I'm gonna perfect my drinking action until Rio comes round so I can be a master of my own art.

I never bothered watching the Olympics outside of work, I don't pay attention to sprinters or shot putters or anything else at any other time, so I didn't see the point in spending the best part of 3 weeks watching it.

I saw the mens race Sunday. It was epic, and sooo hard.

I only saw the womens race, but it looked PROPER killer. 15 minute lap times that Frenchwoman was banging in, and she looked like it was a normal commute.

Was it the same course for the men or was it slightly more rough and tumble, cos y'know, we're much harder.
