Well, my suggestion for a squad would be GK Robinson, RB Carragher, LB A. Cole CB Ferdinand, CB Terry, MR Lennon, ML Downing, MC Gerrard, MC Hargreaves, FC Rooney, FC Defoe - with Lampard on Subs bench. However McLaren being a complete moron has decided to drop Hargreaves (despite the fact he was one of the few players who came out of the Israel game with any credit) and keep on Lampard, who played utter poo. Still, I suppose he's decided they really ought to play more attacking this time so there isn't much need for Defensive Midfielders like Hargreaves, but nevertheless they should definitely make use, then of Lampard and just keep constant pressure on.

Nugent is a thieving Toerag. So its his first First Team Cap - that doesn't give him the right to nick Defoe's goal.

That git Jeff Stelling on Sky Sports should have kept his mouth shut about Leyton Orient being safe from relegation in league 1. Several games later and we're 2 points above relegation after a bad run of games and we have a crunch match away at Bradford on Saturday that we simply must win as they're the team directly beneath us in the drop zone!!
But will Stelling care?...........HELL NO. His beloved Hartlepool are promoted to league 1 already.
I hope we stay up and give Hartlepool a good hiding if we meet next season....rant...rave.grrrrr :angry:

Jeff Stelling is both a legend and a git. He's a legend for his rubbish puns (every time this guy Stevenson scores Jeff does the "must have been a rocket" gag etc) and childish banter with the pundits but also an annoying tease for the way he hypes up a situation in a game on Soccer Saturday but leaves it until the last few words to tell you who scored.

He is a jinx as well. He's got a bet with Alan McInally that Rob Earnshaw will score 20 goals for Norwich this season. With 16 goals by February, Jeff was getting smug - cue Earnie getting injured and being out for two months. If it's any consolation freezageeza, he came back last week and scored in his first game so there's hope for the O's yet!

walsall fan. also promoted back to league 1 after 2 punishing seasons (for the fans) under paul mersons stewardship (leadership would be the wrong words to use) why he didn't just go on soccer saturday from the start is beyond me. However we now have a fit and organised team under richard money (dicky dosh) and got out of the basement at the first attempt, hopefully as champs, as hartlepool are only 2 points ahead.

Yeah, He'd probably be great on one of those reality game shows when they announce the winner a good few minutes after saying "and the winner is".
If you go away and make a cuppa,walk the dog (kick the cat) AND read War and Peace,(in Russian), come back and you'd STILL be waiting to know who won!!
Actually,even better.....put him in gaol (or goal for that matter!!) for Bradford on Saturday and it would take him a week to decide if he'' make a save or not....LOL :laugh:
