Whilst it came as no surprise to 360 GAMER, it was officially confirmed by one of the development team on the X06 show floor that Crackdown from Real Time Worlds has had its initial pre-Christmas release date pushed back until Spring '07.
The action adventure title, featuring superheroic future cops and gang warfare, was planned as one of Microsoft's key exclusives for the Christmas season. However, according to our source, it was felt that Crackdown might be lost amidst the hype surrounding Gears of War.
Microsoft has a lot of faith in Crackdown and wants it to have a fair 'crack' (sorry!) at getting the audience it deserves. The new Spring '07 release window should certainly help it stand out (unless MS decides to release it on the same day as Rainbow Six: Vegas in March!)
