Bungie has today announced that it will make a public beta version of Halo 3 available before the game’s release next November.
The Beta will be playable over Xbox Live and will be used to collate information before the game’s release, aiding the development team in their creation of the title.
Speaking in a post on Bungie.net was a user titled Sketch, who stated: “We can confirm that our fans will have an opportunity to play Halo 3 multiplayer over Xbox Live BEFORE the final game is available.
“You’ll be playing a little multiplayer and simultaneously providing us with some valuable data to help our development team,” Sketch continued. “We’re still working out the details on timing and scope.”
He then went onto confirm that while details are indeed a bit sketchy at this stage, “a lot more info” is to come in the following weeks.
