Webzen has confirmed in its Q2 2007 financial report that it will be holding beta trials for MMOFPS Huxley later this year.
According to the report, a closed beta trial is due to commence towards the end of this quarter, with a public beta trial to follow either towards the end of 2007 or in early 2008.
Sadly, it’s not mentioned whether it’s the PC or the 360 (or indeed, both) versions that are set to be tested, although given the success of the recent Halo 3 Beta trial and the fact that titles such as Call of Duty 4 will also be conducting similar trials on the 360, we certainly hope Webzen will be following suit.
Even if 360 owners do miss out however, it’s good to see that the game is moving a step closer towards completion. As long term 360 fans will know, Webzen's MMOFPS was one of the first games to be announced for the console, but has fallen off the radar since then.
If we hear any more about it, we’ll let you know.
