The latest edition of Winning Eleven (known over here as Pro Evolution) has soared to the top of Japanese all format charts on its debut.
According to the Media Create all format charts for the week ending 5 August, J-League Winning Eleven 2007: Club Championship on PS2 managed to usurp last week’s top two pairing of Mario Party 8 and Everybody’s Golf 5, which this week finished second and third respectively.
By and large however, it was the DS that dominated, with DS games taking five of the top ten places in the chart, proving that Nintendo’s handheld is as popular as ever, with Wii Sports and Wii Play taking the remaining slots.
