Namco has finally confirmed that Mr Driller Online is coming to Live Arcade.
So Gamefront.de is reporting, Namco has confirmed the existence of the game in the latest issue of its magazine, Side BN.
According to the magazine, Mr Driller Online is in development for Xbox Live Arcade, and is to feature online modes alongside the usual single player stuff.
This isn’t altogether surprising, given that the game has already been cleared for release by both the American ESRB and the German USK age ratings boards, but it’s nice that Namco’s finally gotten around to confirming it all the same.
Mr Driller first appeared in the arcades in 1999, and was subsequently ported to a host of formats, including the PSone and Dreamcast.
No release date was mentioned, although given that two age rating boards have already rated it, hopefully we won’t be left waiting too long.
The price wasn’t confirmed either, although we reckon the full game will set you back around 800 points when it hits the Marketplace.
