This week, because this article is unbelievably late – or early depending on your outlook – there is no time for an introduction. So let get straight on with the news!

News
Firstly, We at the WGL put a lot of work into what we do (well, most of us anyway), and none more so than our media team who are busy plotting and scheming for next season. In the meantime however, I would like to stress the great leaps and bounds and lovely shit that’s being uploaded to our YouTube channel by Mana, Scotty, Rossco, M3lmoth and many others, so please check out our YouTube channel.

Plus we will have competitions and giveaways, so it’s worth checking out – after all, who doesn’t like free stuff?

Furthermore, with the WGL being a beacon in the Call of Duty frontier, we’ve set up a CoD: Elite group for you all to join, which will have many untold benefits. The group is #theWGL so go find and join and be merry.

Our final – but by far the most important – bit of news, is regarding sign-ups. If you wish to participate in the opening season of Modern Warfare 3, you must have signed up by this Friday! That’s the18th of November. So stop whatever it is you’re supposed to be doing now, hit up this link and follow the steps listed.

FIFA – Singles
Premiership
The Last Shots’ dominance over the world of FIFA has been shaken this week, with only one member in the top three. TLS: Zizou is rocking the top with both games played, and in close second sits LegenD whose level on points but behind on goal difference.

Third belongs to BS16, who is yet to confirm this week’s results. Nemesis cannot replicate his mate’s success, and has only managed two draws so far, while just below lie ReVz and Chewie, who are also yet to earn a win.

Currently in the relegation zone are Hotshots and LoKi.

Championship
Setting themselves up for promotion this season are ReVz I and Dragons Rawr, who hold first and second respectively. Muppets with Guns – while yet to earn a win – have not lost thus far and own third.

The Undead Heroes and Bru are yet to play their fixture and as a result sit bang in the middle. At the bottom end of the table, Veterans of FIFA Three Sixty Gamer and Billyman all contest for survival.

Division One
ReVs H and Hotshots II both sit high and mighty in front, sharing points but split on goal difference. Devilsniper, with his mind firmly set on promotion, for now has to deal with third, and is only just fending off former champion Nasty Neil.

North South Divide and British Task Force can only be separated by the alphabet currently, but are holding strong above the relegation zone unlike rivals Nightmare and Potleg.

Division Two
Unlike last week, all teams have now played at least one game, but Badger still holds the lead largely through his game advantage. Total Xbox Gaming, Extreme Xbox Gamers and British Task Force all share second with one game played and three points a piece.

At the other end all four remaining teams are still under threat of relegation, as all gamers are without points.

Division Three
Uber currently sits at number one, with an entire three points to his name. Also competing for promotion are Yours Truly, who racked up the best 0–0 result you will ever see against OGC Speed, who joins me in second along with Sweat FC.

Further down the table sit The Undead Heroes and Intesive Care, who have one point each; While propping up the table are the two Egg teams, who need to get their act together and play some fixtures.

FIFA – Doubles
Premiership
The Lost Unit takes out an early lead courtesy of two early wins, and a draw between rivals North South Divide and FFTW. At the lower end of the table, 2G1Ts currently hover just above the relegation zone, thanks to their one win and a couple of goals. Next Generation Gamers and Hotshots are, as it stands, in the firing line and will be praying for a mid-season spur – which for the Hotshots is easier said than done when your goal difference is -9 after just two games.

Championship
Elite Xbox Gamers buck the current trend by winning both of their opening matches, giving them a clear lead at the top. Second, third, fourth and fifth are separated only by goal difference, with Shagger and Bagger, Father & Son, 420 and XGL occupy said positions.

But this is not likely to remain static, and hopefully it’ll make for an exciting promotion battle. Bringing up the rear is Invective, who will be hoping for some easier competition as they are currently without a single goal.

FIFA – Be a Pro
Premiership

With the opening matches finally played out, we can begin to gain some insight into how this season is likely to shape up. TLS, containing last year’s FIFA superstars LoKi, Zizou, Nemesis and many more, have decided singles glory isn’t enough and are joint top with Three Sixty Gamer.

One Vision are in third after their first game, however, only as a result of one less goal scored in their fixture with fourth place side The Undead Heores. Total Revolution Community and Zig Zag FC sit at the very bottom, but it is only opening week.

Championship
ReVz have motored their way to the top after a second win this week, and look to be in good form. Muppets with Guns follow them closely despite being a game down.

Carry on Gaming, featuring last season’s underdog story Nasty Neil, are a comfortable third, with Hotshots and ASG Allstars just behind. Dogs of War and 3DC are both yet to play a game.

Division One
Remarkably, Division One not only has played all its games, but all games have been draws! North South Divide, Territorial Gaming, Muppets with Guns and The Lost Unit finished all their matches 1–1.

UK’s Finest and Next Generation Gamers finished their match without score. With this being the case, we’ll wait till next week before assessments are made.

Gears of War - Mixed Modes
Premiership
In the Gears world, North South Divide are currently curb-stomping their way to league glory, currently being without a loss to their name. They’re closely followed by The Last Shot in second.

Contesting promotion are the British Elite Mercenaries, who are only in third as they are a match behind. At the bottom end of the table, it’s already looking like relegation has been decided, for although oWar and TFC have six and three points apiece, neither NGG nor Muppets with Guns have won a round, let alone any points.

Division One
Both Versatile Vision and Dogs of War are looking keen for promotion, with both teams yet to lose and separated only by the alphabet – making their showdown fixture a highly anticipated event.

The Lost Unit, Virtual Talent and Death or Glory all have two wins apiece, with vT and DoG separated by one single round. Muppets with Guns and Total Revolution are living on a knife’s edge, with both teams currently sharing the second relegation spot for this week. In last place – and truly propping up the table – are Carry on Gaming, with no wins to date.

Division Two
British Elite Mercenaries are sending a statement to the admins by not dropping a single round so far this season, and look set for promotion.

Infamous Gaming and The Last Shot are providing the competition for second, with IG currently have the upper hand, but with TLS still having a game in hand. The eloquently named BOR7V currently reside slap bang in the middle, just above The Undead Heroes and IXXI – who are only separated by a round.

The Hardcore Urban Militia is taking a note from Division One’s CoG and is yet to get any points on the board.

Gears of War – Execution
Premiership
North South Divide are truly dominating this year’s events, and look like they will be taking the Gears double this season by winning all four games in a shut-out.

Muppets with Guns and British Elite Mercenaries are joint-second and looking for a slip up from NSD. At present, they’re tied six points, two wins and + 1 round. Following closely in third are The Last Shot, also on six points but with a less favourable round difference.

The Footsoldier Clan and Dogs of War are locked in battle for survival, with the Soldier edging out a narrow round difference lead. WGL veterans vV are struggling at the moment and currently sit in last place and without win.

Division One
Death or Glory are choosing Glory right now with an impressive season, and are yet to lose a round. British Elite Mercenaries and 420 are competing for second place and are currently only split by a couple of rounds. Infamous Gaming rest comfortably in the middle of the table, but have The Last Shot nipping at their heels. Xbox Gaming Legends and Fifth Wall Gaming look set to finish bottom as they are without victory.

Until next time!
That’s it again for another merry week. Keep you eyes fixed on TheWGL.co.uk and remember we’re on Twitter, too. See you next time.
