Speaking to 360 Gamer recently, Ubisoft Shanghai's creative director Stan Mettra admitted that when it comes to Ubisoft's role in finishing off I Am Alive, “we can really say that interest from the fans saved the project.” Mettra acknowledges the part that social media plays in game development these days, saying “thank you to those gamers who have been waiting so long, reading about us, posting on our Facebook page, and most of all expecting something special”. And why was that support so important? “That excitement helped saved the project,” he says.
You can check out the full interview - along with a full hands-on impression of the game - in issue 106 of 360 Gamer, on sale now. And don't forget, I Am Alive is due for release on 7 March as part of the Xbox Live House Party at the price of 1,200 Microsoft Points. Yes, we're rather excited about it.
