We'll admit it - despite being into our comics and graphic novels, we've never heard of Scarygirl. And yet come next week, everyone will have heard of her thanks to Tiki Games and Square-Enix putting out an Xbox Live Arcade game all about her adventures.
Based on the graphic novel and toy range created by Nathan Jurevicius, Scarygirl looks to be a side-scrolling platform action-adventure filled with monsters, ghosts and a host of weird characters including Bunniguru (a rabbit that dishes out confusing advice), Blister (a super-intelligent giant octopus) and, of course, Scarygirl herself. Suffice to say, it's hardly your average XBLA title, even though the action looks like something we could get our heads around quite easily.
See for yourself in the video and screens below, before trying out the game when it arrives next week on XBLA (price still to be confirmed, but we'll hazard a guess at 800 Microsoft Points).
