Racing fans of a non-F1 persuasion are gearing up for the eagerly anticipated Forza Motorsport 4, a game that’s poised on the starting grid and ready to outmanoeuvre its predecessor with immaculately polished Ferraris and Bugattis. But for drivers that are less conscious about cleanliness and prefer the loose stability of gravel to the traction assurance of asphalt, 2011 will be better remembered for a pair of rally games – the first being Codemasters’ excellent DiRT 3 and now, after little in the way of hype or fanfare, Milestone’s understated yet lovingly constructed WRC: FIA World Rally Championship 2.

After impressing with some convincing handling and strong stage design, can WRC 2’s DLC continue to catch our eyes in the same way the full game did? Not if it’s as limited as the one-stage East African Safari Rally Pack, reckons Adam Gouchi.

It may be a super special stage, but unfortunately it seems the East African Rally pack isn’t super special enough to justify the 400 MSP price tag it’s been slapped down with.
