There are many reasons why we should be quick to applaud NeverDead, not least because it’s a third-person shooter that actually tries to be that little bit different from all the Gears of War clones we routinely plough through. It has an intriguing concept, some great characters and a wealth of decent ideas that often get a chance to shine. However, it’s also one of the most infuriating games we’ve played in quite some time.

Not being satisfied with NeverDead hitting shelves last Friday, Konami has announced that the game is to get a batch of downloadable content later this month, offering enough goodies to shake an arm at.

Yes, Neverdead – Konami's comedy horror title – is still very much being alive and kicking, as this fresh batch of screenshots proves. And despite being centred around a cursed zombie man who can remove his limbs at will, we have to say it's not looking mangy in the slightest...

Proving that Valentine's Day is the new Christmas as far as game releases go in 2012, Konami throws its hat (and head, arms and other body parts) into the ring by giving its comedy/horror action title, NeverDead, an early February release date.

Neverdead is one of those games where we just can’t make up our minds on whether it’s likely to be up to the job or not – a conundrum this latest trailer still hasn’t managed to settle.
