With game remakes currently all the rage, THQ has thrown its hat into the digital ring by announcing its plans to publish a re-imagining of Nexuiz - an arena-based FPS originally released in 2001 - on Xbox Live Arcade. That's definitely not a bad thing once you know where it first spawned from...

Seeing our favourite game franchises ruined by unnecessary new ideas is always heartbreaking – seeing previous broken franchises revived by publishers returning to their roots, however, gives us hope for the future. And thankfully, that's exactly what Activision and new developer Robomodo is doing with the down-but-not-out Tony Hawk brand. Hurrah!

Konami has enlisted the help of the world's biggest ass-kicker, Duke Nukem, for the release of its next XBLA title, Choplifter HD. Does Duke actually know how to fly a helicopter? We're not sure. But we're going to find out when the game arrives later on this winter…
