Stand aside Beautiful Katamari, there's a new batshit crazy game doing the rounds and it's got a point to prove. Leigh Groocock goes hands on with SEGA's weirdest game to date and buy's a giant saw blade that looks like a doughnut in the process. Go figure.

If science and time-travel movies have taught us anything, it's that two identical entities can't occupy the same space at the same time… but does the same theory transfer to Xbox Live Arcade? Martin Mathers dons his safety goggles and haphazardly ignores the suggestion that he shouldn't press the red button... WARNING: May contain excessive use of the word 'Portal'.

When it comes to cars, it's less about the shiny bodywork and more about what's under the hood – unfortunately, Jeremy McGrath's Offroad has a hamster wheel and a bunch of elastic bands. Rebekah Stanney jumps into the driver's seat and spends the next two hours on the road to hell…

You know how last week, you downloaded Jeremy McGrath's Offroad from Xbox Live Arcade just like we did? Yeah, well apparently that didn't happen – after all, how could it have when the game is the only new addition to XBLA this week? Unless, of course, Microsoft made a huge error and put it up early, then had to pull it down to cover the fact that it would mean there'd be no content this week. But that would never happen. Never. Plus, a new Walking Dead episode! Wooo!

Complex name, even more complex game - as much as people may tell you that learning how to play Magic: The Gathering isn't that hard, actually playing it with any success is an uphill battle that some just won't enjoy. Martin Mathers draws seven from the deck and finds himself looking at virtual defeat before the fight's even begun...

Divine intervention's great, but all the holy powers in the universe can't stop Ubisoft's re-imagining of this iOS game being anything other than average. Adam Tingle braves some wrath and remembers the age-old adage: if someone asks you if you're a god, you say yes…

The most complete and advanced version of Virtua Fighter 5, available as a downloadable title from Xbox Live Arcade as opposed to a Games On Demand title? You betcha – it's the highlight of this week's XBLA update and needs to be downloaded immediately. Oh, and there's some other stuff too… but you don't care about that, right? Because, you know, Virtua Fighter. VIRTUA FIGHTER.

Has Sega's games archive sprung a leak of something? With 12 classic games updated for Xbox Live Arcade arriving in the last two weeks, we're thinking they might finally be capitalising on having such a huge back catalogue of awesomeness. Plus, Ubisoft's Mad Riders is here, along with a huge amount of discounts for Popcap titles and two fairly decent new Games On Demand.

A classic it may be, but that doesn't mean people have to keep wheeling out Dirk The Daring's adventures over and over again. James Wright bravely ventures forth into the Kinect castle, only to be dropped into the jaws of the utterly awful control monster…
