360 GAMER has learnt that the Xbox 360 port of the critically-acclaimed PC hit, F.E.A.R. is currently on course for a UK release date of 17 November, putting it up against the mighty Gears of War, the much-hyped and highly-anticipated release from Epic Games and Microsoft.
The confirmation of this UK release date means that two of the biggest first-person shooters of the year on Xbox 360 go head-to-head for gamers hearts-and-minds (or, more specifically, their wallets).
Originally, Gears of War was set to be joined on 17 November by Rainbow Six: Vegas and Call of Duty 3, with F.E.A.R. being tentatively pencilled in for release either the week before or after. Since then, Rainbow Six: Vegas has now been pushed back a week until 24 November, with unconfirmed reports that Call of Duty 3 has been brought forward to 10 November, allowing each of these heavy-hitters a chance to reach the top of the video game charts for their respective week of release.
